Announcing: Our New Music Director!

We are thrilled to welcome Branden Olsen as our new Music Director!

Branden is an accomplished conductor, operatic singer, and educator with an impressive international career. He holds two master’s degrees and has worked globally as a conductor and performer, including serving as Co-Principal Conductor of the Atlantic and National Boychoir of Canada, an internationally touring ensemble with award-nominated recordings. Under his leadership, ensembles have grown significantly in both membership and artistic excellence, earning national recognition and invitations to international festivals. Branden has also been an Artist in Residence with Calgary Opera and currently serves as the vocal soloist with the Royal Artillery Band of Canada. 

A passionate pedagogue, Branden is widely respected for his inclusive, singer-first approach to vocal education. His teaching is rooted in the bel canto tradition and enriched by modern vocal science, with experience across classical, contemporary, and musical theatre styles. He has prepared countless singers for post-secondary programs across Canada and has worked with artists of all voice types and identities. 

Beyond his impressive credentials, our chorus has already come to appreciate Branden’s energy, depth of knowledge, and wonderful sense of humour. His ability to challenge, inspire, and connect with singers has made an immediate impact, and we are genuinely excited about the musical growth and joy ahead.
